They came from Singapore, dreaming of snow.
A couple who had always wanted to see a Hokkaido winter — she is bright and full of laughter, he loves Japanese culture and speaks it well. They brought their family, three dresses and two tuxedos, and gave us one full day: Sapporo and Otaru.

Getting ready. He fastened her necklace — it didn’t go smoothly, and she couldn’t stop laughing.
And off we went.Sapporo Moerenuma Park.

He had been saying all morning that he was afraid of the cold. Then the snow came, and so did this smil

Birch trees and white snow. Her choice was a black dress — against the snow, nothing else was needed.
And head to Hokkaido Government Red brick.

Three dresses, two tuxedos, all carried from Singapore.

A snowman, of course. Hokkaido powder is usually too dry to hold together — that day was mild for midwinter, and the snow packed just well enough.

To Otaru canal.
The weather did everything that day: snow, then sleet, then wind. When we asked if they wanted to keep going, the answer was simple — if it leaves us good photos, we try.

Otaru after dusk is busy — crowds everywhere, sometimes a short wait for a spot. It didn’t matter. They had come a long way for this snow.
Thank you for choosing us, from so far away.
One couple a day, anywhere in Hokkaido.
